Since 2014, Cartoon Network over the garden wall has become a reliable Halloween staple watch. Thankfully, that’s not going to change anytime soon, but it turns out creator Patrick McHale is brewing up something new that will feel familiar to fans of Walt and Greg’s adventures.
McHale will contribute to Dstlry’s Christmas anthology comics, according to Polygon Through the Boughs: A Christmas Offering. McHale to re-team with short story ‘The Man in the Red Coat’ garden wall Storyboard artist Jim Campbell tells the story of two goblin children living with their mother. Rather than go out and play in the snow, their mother wants them to stay inside and away from Santa Claus, or in her (mostly accurate) words, “a fat, ugly old man in a blood-red coat who, on Earth Wandering on, sneaking into strangers” ‘Home. ” In a press release, McHale cited holiday illustrations and “weird old books… as a continuing source of inspiration for their stories.”

As a long-time horror fan and writer, Tynion says he’s “always been drawn to the weird little stories we like to tell each other in the middle of winter. There’s just something special about the holidays. As for himself and Ikvall The story they created together is what he calls “a weird little story that I can’t wait for everyone to see.”
Through the Boughs: A Christmas Offering It will hit comic shops and retailers in December. for over the garden wall Fans, Dstlry is also working on an art book for the show, and Cartoon Network has teamed up with Aardman Animation to create some celebrations for the upcoming tenth anniversary of the miniseries.
