Meta has blocked the leaked JD Vance profile on Threads, Instagram and Facebook.
According to a statement from The Verge, posting or sharing links to hacked documents violates its content policy. The spokesperson said Meta’s policy “does not allow content from hacked sources or content leaked as part of a foreign government operation to influence U.S. elections.”
Threads users noticed that the post containing a link to the Substack newsletter where Ken Klippenstein posted the file has been deleted. According to reports, links hosted on third-party websites such as Scribd or in PDF form on Google Drive are also blocked.
Instead, Threads users successfully posted links to the dossier by adding spaces to the URL or searching for instructions on how to access it via Google.

Independent journalist Krippenstein received documents sent by hackers who were reportedly part of Iran’s effort to influence the U.S. presidential election. The dossier contains information about former President Donald Trump’s campaign scrutinizing Sen. J.D. Vance and his potential as a running mate.
The document appears to reveal Vance’s political stance on a number of issues, such as higher taxes on those without children. The dossier also discusses Vance’s later-deleted tweets about Trump’s sexual assault allegations. It also contained Vance’s personal messages, including his phone number, email address and home address.
Klippenstein’s account on X has been suspended for violating its policy of sharing links to his Substack posts containing this sensitive information.
