We’re getting closer and closer to the 2024 finish line as we enter October, a month that’s typically filled with big AAA game releases and some hair-raising surprises. This year is no different, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 making the headlines this month, along with a number of horror games. Oddly enough, most of the games in this department are remasters or remakes, with old favorites like Silent Hill 2, Until Dawn, and Shadow of the Damned getting a new lease of life in October.
In addition to these main games, there are several other high-profile games worth looking forward to. Atlus is launching a new game in the form of Metaphor: ReFantazio, Starship Troopers: Extinction is doing its part in the form of a full version, and Batman fans can return to the Arkham universe in a new VR game . Another highly anticipated release is BioWare’s Dragon Age: Veiled Guard, and Redacted looks like an interesting new entry in the Callisto Protocol universe.
As usual, there are a few smaller indie games sandwiched between the main releases, in case the AAA releases don’t appeal to you, so there’s a good chance you’ll find something you like.
