The first voice acting trailer for Dragon Ball Malaysia has been released, and fans of the OG series will be delighted to hear that Stephanie Nadoni returns as the voice of Goku.
Ever since Dragon Ball Malaysia was revealed, fans have been wondering who will voice the series’ protagonist, Goku. After all, in this series, the beloved Saiyan has been shrunk to the size of a child (GT Forever), so Sean Schermel’s darker tones might not be a good fit. In the Japanese dub, Masako Nozawa has voiced every incarnation of the character, including adult Goku, so it’s not surprising to hear she’s returning for the new series. While her name hasn’t been explicitly mentioned anywhere, anyone who knows her voice will immediately recognize that the voice of the first dubbed trailer for Dragon Ball Malaysia is none other than Stephanie Nadoni, who is The actor behind Goku in the original series.
Nadoni voiced the character exclusively in the Funimation dub, which is actually the canonical dub for English localizations – where you can find the likes of Plan, Christopher Sabat, and Kyle Herbert. Fans have been hoping that Nadoni would return to voice the character, as she hasn’t actually voiced the character since 2010 for the Nintendo DS game Dragon Ball: Origins 2. I haven’t done that much dubbing in .

American fans will also be pleased to know that the global English dub premiere of Dragon Ball Malaysia will be in theaters from November 10 to 12, where the first three episodes will be screened. The rest of the English voice cast has yet to be confirmed, but judging from the trailer, the usual cast of characters won’t be as large as usual – it will also be the first time we see many of them voiced child versions. Be prepared for some unfamiliar sounds.
In Japanese, “Dragon Ball Daimon” and “Spark” will be released on the same day! It will be available on Crunchyroll on October 11th.
