try to describe echo point novaA newly released PC shooter is a tricky thing. I could describe it as a hybrid Titanfallmovement, modern doomgunfight, minecraftof destructible, Heavenly SwordFloating islands, and putting an evil radioactive hoverboard into a weird package – though that might just make it sound like a mess. But believe me, echo point nova Not a mess. Instead, it’s one of the best shooters I’ve played in years.
This is the setting echo point nova: You’re a cool soldier with a cute hoverboard and grappling hook. You crash land on a planet that’s nothing more than hundreds of floating islands. The place has been invaded by a bunch of badass mercenaries who want to exploit the ancient technology that may have caused the destruction of the Earth in the first place. To stop them, you’ll need to travel around the islands using the aforementioned hoverboard and grappling hook, while unlocking new guns, upgrades, and perks for larger battles and giant bosses.
On paper, I admit echo point nova That doesn’t sound like much. But once you start playing this new FPS, you’ll quickly discover that this shooter offers a ton of freedom and options, all of which are fun and beautiful to play.
I can’t tell you how many times I dashed up a wall with my hoverboard, spun around, killed some enemies with an assault rifle, grabbed another wall, triple jumped onto an enemy mech, and killed it with a grenade launcher. Slow down time and snipe some flying bad guys from a distance while standing upside down. It sounds complicated and looks impressive, but echo point novaThe controls and gunplay are silky smooth, responsive, and easy to master.
The game is more fun to play if you have someone watching over your shoulder as you perform crazy acrobatics as you fight off waves of enemies to unlock new upgrades or weapons. Because it’s an open world, you can control how easy things are. You can focus on easier outposts first, or aim for challenging missions to get better gear. up to you! You see that giant floating desert in the sky and you can go there.
But it’s not just echo point novaThe combat and action won me over. The game has an eerie feel to it. You’ll ride a hoverboard across islands floating in the sky before arriving at a temple half-buried underground. You can explore it and use your pickaxe to dig a tunnel ala minecraftor move on to your next goal. Other times, I encountered huge valleys, hidden underground bases, abandoned military outposts, or strange structures that looked almost medieval. Aside from the big battles, unless you play co-op, you’ll be alone in this vast open world of floating islands and forgotten places.
This is a strange combination doom– Similar to FPS action games, with empty and lonely alien scenes, but it Echo Point Nova— Especially since exploring these places is done on a cute hoverboard at 200 mph.
echo point nova There are some rough edges, such as the first big boss fight being a pain in the ass and the health system feeling a little too much for players who might not keep flying around like a maniac during major battles. Punished. Nonetheless, I think echo point nova It’s worth playing because it’s one of the weirdest shooters I’ve ever played, and one of the most fun video games I’ve played in 2024.
