orderThe neo-Nazi crime thriller starring Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult will be the centerpiece of the film’s showcase, with screenwriter Zach Bellin and star Tye Sheridan in attendance. The festival, October 24-31, will open with Malcolm Washington’s piano lessonsstarring Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington, and Danielle Deadweiler. Virgil Williams, who co-wrote the Netflix stage adaptation produced by Denzel Washington, will be in attendance.
Also heading to Austin Mariais a biopic of Maria Callas produced by Pablo Larrain for Netflix, starring Angelina Jolie. This year’s world premieres include paranoid thriller crossword puzzleco-written, directed and starring Michael Vlamis’s directorial debut; folk horror film Getstarring Robert Longstreet and directed by JC Doller; and conspiracy comedy Operation Taco Gary, Starring Simon Rex, Dustin Milligan, Jason Biggs and Brenda Song, and written and directed by Michael Kwami.
Austin and Mark Gill’s World Bow Ravensabout the famous Japanese photographer Masahisa Fukase and his wife Yoko, with Gill in attendance; directed by JT Walker glory, Starring David Morse, Jacqueline Bejarano, Bill Heck; and director Tony Comas’ silent notes, These include Daniel Durant and Matt Reich.
Special Screening of Pixar Original Series dream production companyderivative commodities inside out The movie series will be released on Disney+ in 2025 and is also scheduled to be released at AFF. This play is set in the “Dream Factory” in Riley’s mind. The story takes place between the following events: inside out and Brain Teasers 2.
Austin bills itself as the premier film festival that honors writers and filmmakers for their contributions to film, television and new media and will also host an annual writers conference. This year, Robin Swicord will receive the 2024 Bill Wittliff Screenwriting Award. Her credits include Memoirs of a Geisha, Matilda (co-created with her husband Nicholas Kazan), received an Oscar nomination for her work The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttonand co-produced the Netflix miniseries with Ava DuVernay when they see us.
