Well, is this an episode of Ark or a very dark and gritty episode of Impractical Jokers? “Everything Comes to an End” is like an episode of Big Brother that turns into a “reverse robbery.” Is this a thing?
Regardless, the writers and people behind this episode really made the most of every second. Since this is the last episode before the finale, there’s no time to waste on anything other than the main plot.
You know things are only going to get worse before they get better. I also have a sneaking suspicion that we’re about to see the return of Ark’s “allies.”
The Big Bad Wolf is knocking on the door of the Ark, and it’s probably Evelyn Maddox
If you read my review of Ark Season 2 Episode 10, you know that I thought Maddox was about to return. We know that Evelyn is a callous mistress who is ready to throw her daughter into the trash as a “failed experiment.”
Last time we saw her, she nearly blew up Sharon and her crew because some of Maddox’s crew tried to jump from Ark Fifteen to Ark One. I guess loyalty is important to the calculating captain, which is surprising since she only seems to be loyal to herself.
More importantly, what do you think she was doing during this time? Think about it carefully. I would be shocked if Evelyn Maddox didn’t concoct the craziness of this episode herself.
However, I don’t think she works alone. Remember that adorable question Sharon asked her crew? “Are we the bad guys?” Little Miss Maddox may have told some of Sharon’s stories, and now the GSA may be acting against the best interests of Ark One.
This is all speculation, and I encourage every reader to share their theories in the comments section.
As for Evelyn (Jelena Stupjanin), I wouldn’t mind seeing her reunited with the daughter she abandoned.
Between coma and being lost in space, now’s not the time for romance
Kelly is my favorite character at this point. She has grown a lot since first boarding Ark One. Even though she went through one terrible thing after another, she still wanted to help.
How sweet is that scene where she pleads with Dr. Marsh to use her special blood robot to help save a crew member? As far as we know, she never met the man.
While it’s fun to watch a character mercilessly destroy their own path, it’s also nice when they actively choose to become a better version of themselves.
At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Kelly, who has great hair, forms some sort of posthuman support group.
I really enjoyed the redemption arc and the writers really loved her character. For a technical prisoner, she was surprisingly efficient. Maybe she can help Angus find his purpose.
What else can Angus (Ryan Adams) do? ! He’s spent the last few episodes doing nothing but pushing vodka. In this episode, he is seen as Alicia’s emotional support dog.
I know there’s a lot going on, but come on. If Sharon can find a use for all fifteen, then they can certainly use Angus in some way. I hate that besides surviving the season 1 finale, his only other accomplishment is having bad sex with Alicia.
While I ship Angus and Alicia, now is not the time to act like teenagers who just discovered sex. People fall into comas. Others are lost in space. And now, with Big Brother in this situation, their puppy love is the least of everyone’s concerns.
Ian could also use a little restraint on this.
Ark wastes no time in accelerating the grieving process
After losing Spencer (played by Rhys Rich) a few episodes ago, the captain barely cracked a fake smile. It was so heartwarming to see her so happy to have finally made it to Trapst. So imagine my surprise when another disaster derailed them. Sharon can’t catch a break!
Does anyone know what we should make of Sharon and Ian’s situation? She was heartbroken over Spencer’s death and fell into a lifelong coma. “It Should Have Been You” was an amazing episode that really accelerated the connection between Sharon and Ian. But is this the right move?
It almost felt disrespectful to Spencer’s memory for Garnet to even think about being with Ian. However, it’s also difficult for viewers because it’s the same actor playing the twin clones. So, it doesn’t exactly feel like we’ve lost Spencer. Was it a mess? I honestly don’t know.
Although after the craziness of Ark Season 2 Episode 11, love may well be the last thing on Sharon Garnett’s mind. No.” time.
On the one hand, Felix is being blackmailed, on the other hand, he now knows that his daughter is still alive
When the episode first started, I let out an audible groan as I thought this was another disaster of the week. Don’t get me wrong, they’re fun, but this is the eve of the finale. I wanted to see what kind of chaos we would get into.
Thankfully, I was completely wrong and this was just a case of Felix (Pavler Jelinek) being blackmailed. No big deal. Does anyone else think it’s weird that we’re only now returning to Felix’s missing daughter? This feels like a priority.
I know Felix is a professional who doesn’t let his personal life interfere with his work, but it felt a little out of character for him to not bring this up to Sharon until now. In a way, Felix has the blackmailer to thank.
Hear me out. Sure, it’s too bad that they went to great lengths to kill Trust, but if they hadn’t used her as leverage, Felix wouldn’t have known that his daughter was still alive. Now, Felix can take on anyone who has his daughter like Liam Neeson in Taken . You know this guy has so much pent-up anger.
Speaking of trust, who has this man offended now? Does everyone in the universe want this person to die? They may have good reasons, but sometimes you have to move on. I laughed when Felix cut the trust’s tether during the spacewalk, was that wrong? His reaction was hilarious.
We’ll have to wait and see if the self-proclaimed genius makes it out of Ark Season 2 alive. Now, I think Maddox is going to come back with a bunch of crap and give Sharon (Kristy Burke) another headache.
If you’ve read my previous reviews, you’ll know that I have a few theories about the crew of the Ark and where their story is going. If GSA and Maddox are behind the assassination attempt on Trust, this pretty much confirms my suspicion that Ark and EF will form their own colony.
All we can do is buckle up and get ready for what could be an epic finale!
Who do you think is trying to kill trust?
