astronomy robot It’s not the toughest game, but there are still a few stages that can cause even the most experienced players some trouble. The ultimate test offered by the PlayStation 5 platformer is the Master Challenge, which will force you to use all the tools you’ve learned to conquer it. Here’s how to find the final challenge, along with some tips for completing it, and the goodies you get after completing it.
How to Unlock Master Challenges
Before you can attempt the Master Challenge, you need to unlock it first. This is a pretty epic mission that requires you to rescue all 300 robots and find all 120 puzzle pieces. This means you also Need to find all secret exits Enter the hidden levels of the Lost Galaxy Nebula.
Once you’ve done this, head to the crash site and find a golden statue in the main area. There will be a call button to gather all 300 robots and have them build a giant wall that you can run up. Doing so will get you into the Master Challenge. Enter these doors and prepare for the most intense test yet Astrobot.
How to complete the Master Challenge
The Master Challenge is derived from some of the earlier Symbol Challenge levels, so you’ll need the tools you learned while completing those challenge levels to take on this beast.
Immediately, you will see several symbolic platforms spinning and moving. It’s easy, just jump over.
You’ll then come to a walkway with two enemies sending out shockwaves. Jump over them and reach the jump pad.
This is when things start to get tricky. Hover over an enemy, swing the chain, destroy him with your beam, and you can land (sort of) safely on the next platform. There are two more shockwave enemies waiting for you. Dodge their blasts and run around the metal enemy so he attacks you and gets trapped on the ground. If your timing is good, you can pull the wire over his head before the others attack again. Jump over the blaster’s next move, then jump onto the pad and hover to the next section.
The glass here will shatter if you step on it, so be quick. To make matters worse, on the second and third levels, some robots will stick to you and explode unless you shake them off, and some enemies will shoot spikes. Hold down the Square button during these sections and release it when you see the little robot grab you. You can then also use this spin attack to take out the spiked enemies on these floors, assuming they’re unarmed, which they usually aren’t.
Jump onto the triangular platform, then hover over the electric robot on the circular platform to land it safely. You can bypass the purple enemy on the X-shaped platform and jump directly to the pad on the square platform, but be sure to avoid its projectiles.
You’ll then encounter some basic movement obstacles, forcing you to run up a wall, jump to an adjacent wall, hover over some fire, and then run up another wall with three enemies on it. As long as your reflexes are good, you should be able to overcome this, as you’ll usually be moving too fast for enemies to get a shot before you can take them out. On top is another glass floor.
I recommend avoiding the triangular platform and going directly to the circular platform. It’s slightly taller, so it acts as natural cover for the Lizardbots to fireballs at you, eliminating what could be a major nuisance. You can then easily reach the square platform and use the hover beam to take out your opponent, reducing the need for an “X” platform and space to potentially get hit.
Glide along the ice, then jump and hover to take out electrocuted enemies. You don’t have to do this, but it does provide a potential landing spot to regain the jump before moving onto two platforms that have a giant moving block with enemies on them. Not only do you need to avoid getting squashed, but you also need to dodge the projectiles fired at you by the slimeballs.
Take your time and wait until they attack before taking action, otherwise you may be too close to dodge. Alternatively, you can use jump pads and get around them, but this can be a bit stressful and it’s the closest thing to a breather before the stage ends – you might want to take advantage of that.
The next section requires a little luck. There’s an ice path, a gap, and another ice path with the second (and final) chain-swinging enemy in it. You need to make sure you time your skate so that the chain doesn’t come into contact with you during the jump, so adjust your speed accordingly. If you extend your jump by punching in mid-air, you can reach the space above the robot from the first platform, destroy him with a hover laser, and then all you have to do is skate and jump across the spinning symbols. Take the time to choose an X-shaped one because its unique shape makes it easy to not actually touch the ground before jumping.
This is the last part of the level. There’s a cannon that shoots chicken missiles in the shape of the PlayStation symbol. X, triangle, square, and finally circle. You need to slide over falling ice blocks, so you must always move forward. The X and triangle aren’t bad, but when you get close, be sure to pay attention to the position of the cannon relative to the springboard so you can coordinate your movements to avoid last-second shots.
Squares and circles are very similar, with the round version being slightly more difficult. Don’t hover or extend the jump. The time between shots is short, so you want to minimize the time you spend in the air or you won’t be able to touch the ground before the next volley comes. Again, assume the last-second blast will hit you before the jump pad so you’re not caught off guard, but once you get past the circular cannon, you’re safe.
Continue to the end of the level to find the 301st and final bot in the game, from Lyrical Master Bot Rapper Palapa. Don’t worry, there’s no 302nd robot. You’re all done.

What are the rewards for completing the Master Challenge?
Once you get past the most painful stage in the game, you’ll be rewarded with two new cosmetics. The first one is Astro’s new costume, called “Retro Costume”. This makes this cute robot with a blocky skin reminiscent of games from the PS1 era. In keeping with the retro aesthetic, you’ll also get a new skin for your Dual Speeder called “The Gen 1,” which makes the boat look like the original Dualshock. These can be equipped in their respective areas of the crash site.
Master Challenge is much more difficult than other stages astronomy robotand requires perfect performance to stand out. However, like other Symbol Challenge maps early in the game, with enough perseverance (and this guide) you can overcome any difficulty astronomy robot Throw it at you.
