The next chapter in the series will once again be led by David Leslie Johnson McGoldrickwho previously wrote the scripts for the last two installments. There’s no word yet on who will direct, but series creator, James Wan Will produce with Peter Safran.
There are no story details to share about the film yet, but Wan has previously said in interviews that the film may revolve around the Warrens’ story.
He said: “We cherish the movie “The House of Evil” very much. [them]. So we wanted to take the time to make sure that we were doing it right and making sure that the emotion of the Warren story that we wanted to tell, going into and potentially ending up, we just wanted to make sure that it was the right thing, the right story that we were telling.
It also announced that The Conjuring series is in development for HBO’s MAX streaming series. The series is said to “continue the story from the feature film,” but no other details were revealed.
