Sony has yet to reveal pricing for its 30th Anniversary Edition PS5 series, but a reliable leaker may have.
The PS5 may not have that many games (keep checking the Wikipedia page to see what’s truly exclusive to the platform), but it’s getting one thing this year: a great-looking original PlayStation-themed version to commemorate the company’s 30th anniversary. I don’t really need any of it, and it’s definitely trying to capture the nostalgic part of me, but man, the PSX color scheme still can’t be beat. The only problem is that the price point hasn’t been announced yet, so for those of you who enjoy posting Futurama’s Fry “Take My Money” memes, you don’t know how much you’re going to pay yet.

However, the ever-reliable Billbil-kun, known for regularly correctly leaking upcoming PlayStation Plus games and more, is said to have shared the prices of at least some of the games in the series. First, the PS5 Digital Edition is priced at $450, which is about $50 more than the price of the standard Digital Edition. Best of all, if you want to buy a PSX-themed controller on its own, it’ll apparently cost $80, which is how much the recently released limited-edition Astro Bot controller costs, so keep track.
Billbil-kun didn’t reveal any details about the PS5 Pro or PlayStation Portal, but given the price increase for the PS5 Digital Edition, you might think the regular Pro is at least $50 more expensive than the regular Pro (it already costs $50). ). On the Portal side, your guess is as good as mine, but it’s safe to say the increase won’t be more than $50.
Sony’s current pricing is definitely a bit cheeky in places, and our own Tom explains why the PS5 Pro’s $700 price tag bothers him so much – so much so that he knows just how cheap he can make it.
