Following the disastrous Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, developer Rocksteady is reportedly working on a Batman-related game.
That’s according to Xbox Era co-founder and podcaster Shpeshal_Nick, who has a somewhat spotty track record with Insider News.
Responding to a Game Awards tweet asking people who their dream Batman game developer would be, Shpeshal_Nick said: “Not sure what studio people’s dream Batman game would be, but I hear Rocksteady is back. I also think Sony is trying to make money. ,Ha ha”

Now, technically Rocksteady has officially started working on Batman, as they’re still backing Suicide Squad, which is a Batman IP and does feature the Caped Crusader. But in this case, Nick might be referring to a Batman-centric game.
Considering Suicide Squad failed miserably, cost Warner Bros. an estimated $200 million, and failed to live up to expectations, it does make sense for Rocksteady to return to what made them famous in the first place. Maybe a new game in the Arkham series, or some kind of remake/remake?
The statement that Sony is trying to potentially get some kind of exclusivity deal is very interesting indeed. If they succeed, they’ll have Spider-Man and Batman exclusively on their platform, which is just crazy.
This is just a rumor, though, and sources are just as likely to be right as they are wrong, so take it with a grain of salt.
