It sounds like Dragon Age: Veiled Guard will be a complete game package, as its director said there are no plans for any DLC expansions.
There are a lot of things that are generally annoying since games have become more online focused, but I think even now the DLC is still one of the top ones. That’s what happened in the Inquisition and Invaders expansions, but in a recent interview with YouTuber MrMattyPlays, Veiled Director Corrine Busche assured fans that the upcoming sequel won’t have any similar DLC. This, in turn, was a criticism that BioWare took to heart and hoped to avoid with Veiled Guard. “We really want to make it the most complete package possible out of the box in terms of player experience, narrative and everything else. That’s totally our focus right now.”
That’s not to say there won’t be any kind of DLC, as Busche said, “It’s hard to say what the future holds, but I will say we discussed ‘Should this game end after the first act?'” The answer is no. – We need to tell the entire story of the Veiled Guardians. Beyond that, she noted that the series has a “rich lore, concepts, characters, and locations” that would be great for DLC, “so never say never.”
Our Alex recently got his hands on Dragon Age: The Veiled Guard and was extremely positive after playing it, saying “the entire game exceeded my expectations.”
