This is one of my favorite comedies of all time and it will be a cool experience to watch it on the big screen again.
This sci-fi comedy follows the cast of the once popular television series also known as galaxy explorationtheir careers have faded into obscurity. The cast, led by the brash yet charming Jason Nesmith (Tim Allen), plays the captain of the show and attends fan conventions to make a living.
What they didn’t know was that an alien race called the Semians had mistaken their performances for actual historical documents. The Thelmians recruit actors to help protect their race from the evil warlord Sarris, believing that the actors are the intergalactic heroes they portray on television.
When the actors find themselves aboard a real-life starship modeled after the fictional ship, they must quickly adapt to the reality of space combat, alien diplomacy and life-or-death stakes.
At first, they are overwhelmed and overwhelmed, but eventually they step up and use their acting experience and teamwork to defeat Sarris and protect the Thelmians.
The film’s cast also includes Sigourney Weaver Playing Gwende Marko/Lieutenant Tony Madison; Alan Rickman Playing Alexander Dane/Dr. Lazarus; Tony Shalhoub Plays Fred Kwan/Tech Sergeant Chen; Sam Rockwell as Guy Fleegman; Darryl Mitchell as Tommy Webber/Lieutenant Laredo; and Enrico Colantoni As Mathesa.
