“Otherside” is developed by Yuga Labs, the creators of Bored Ape Yacht Club, and is one of the most talked about virtual universe games currently.
The Bored Ape universe combines MMO elements with blockchain technology, but at this stage we know very little about the features of Otherside. Currently, only holders of certain Yuga Labs assets, including the Otherdeed Land NFT, can access the game in a limited play test.
As a Metaverse expansion of arguably the most well-known NFT series, Otherside has received a lot of attention, with many non-Yuga holders eager to experience the game for themselves.
Otherside will be the cornerstone of Yuga Labs’ future – with its focus on online gaming and user-driven content, the Metaverse could become the center of the entire blockchain-based online experience.

Pudgy World is developed by Igloo Inc. (the parent company of Pudgy Penguins) and aims to bring collectibles to life through online virtual universe games.
It is a 3D browser-based game where players can explore, interact and embark on a narrative journey co-created by Igloo and players, allowing Pudgy NFT and plush toy owners to use their collectibles as in-game Role.
With Chubby Penguins’ growing popularity, especially with their US-wide toy releases and engaging social media profiles, Chunky World is one of the most anticipated Metaverse games out there.
Given its strong community (both within and outside Web3), Pudgy World has huge potential to bridge the gap between Web3 and traditional audiences, and we can’t wait to make it accessible to the public.

Decentraland is an original metaverse game where players travel through a virtual world surrounded by experiences that are owned and developed by the players.
The game utilizes $MANA for transactions – players are able to earn currency and purchase virtual real estate to create experiences such as games, galleries and digital homes. It is an open world environment that encourages creativity and economic activity, allowing users to monetize their land in a variety of ways.
With a range of unique experiences (including partnerships with the likes of Atari), it has a dedicated group of gamers, although controversy has dwindled its numbers in recent years.
It has an advantage over the other games on this list due to its playability – but time will tell what the future holds for Decentraland.

Built on the foundation of Immutable, Illuvium is an open-world RPG with elements of exploration, collection, and combat.
This virtual universe game will be officially released in July 2024.
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game is more visually impressive than many other games on this list and features a variety of gameplay elements to satisfy all types of gamers.
After launch, Illuvium continued to expand, introducing new game modes, features, and combat mechanics. Through these regular updates, Illuvium is known as one of the leading metaverse games in the industry.

The term “metagame” is synonymous with sandbox.
The Sandbox focuses on user-generated content where players can create, own and monetize their gaming experiences using purpose-built tools, with $SAND as its native token.
As well as user-generated content, The Sandbox works with a range of major brands, including musicians like Snoop Dogg, entertainment products like The Walking Dead and financial giants like HSBC – all of which combine to make The Sandbox the brand we’re closest to. So far, “virtual reality world”.
To this day, the game still has a dedicated community that regularly releases new games, experiences, and products.
