Most of us Star Wars fans are still clearing out Outlaws’ secondary campaign and taking plenty of photos ahead of the Lando-centric DLC’s imminent launch, but we shouldn’t forget that another journey into the underworld of a galaxy far, far away is just around the corner nearby. Skeleton Crew is set to debut on Disney Plus in early December and is ramping up its marketing efforts, and it certainly sounds like it’s full of simple fun.
Via Entertainment Weekly, more about Wayne, the Nicoto pirate in The Mandalorian Season 3’s new pirate friend and Jude Law’s mysterious Force-sensitive character Jordyn Na. It was revealed that Joad Nawood could be a new take on the Jedi Knight, according to creators/showrunners Jon Watts and Christopher Ford.

“In the era we’re in, we’re playing with that lawless thing…The Empire is gone, so we’re playing with the part of the galaxy where piracy is resurgence,” Ford noted. If you didn’t know, this new series takes place around the same time as The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Skeleton Crew, in the post-Return of the Jedi era. While the New Republic continues to rebuild and the threat of Grand Admiral Thrawn looms, much of the galaxy is left unsupervised, allowing pirates, criminal syndicates, and the like to make a fortune.
Introduced in the third season of Din Djarin and Grogu’s show, Vane, an annoying pirate who survived a Mandalorian attack, joins forces with Urkel himself, Jaleel White as the android Gunter, and Brutus, a man who carries a ton of pistols. The new photo shared by Lucasfilm and EW (at the top of this article) makes Law’s character look very piratey and lawless, so maybe we’re getting a loose riff on early Kyle Katarn here, which will be better Sick. That said, I’m also a little tired of running around like a hundred Jedi while Luke alone holds the future of the organization on his shoulders, so hopefully this guy is just a Force-sensitive villain protecting the lost children at the center story.
