The U.S. Postal Service is teaming up with Toys “R” Us to make Operation Santa easier than ever for families.
Operation Santa is a program where adults can adopt letters written by children to Santa Claus. Now, these generous folks can check items off their wish lists faster than ever through a specially curated e-commerce site run by the toy retailer.
By streamlining the adoption process and providing carefully selected gifts, we make it easier for individuals and families to spread joy to children in need and make their holiday dreams come true. Together we created magical moments that will resonate for years to come.
Operation Santa Claus is officially accepting letters from now until December 9th. Once they select a list, they have until December 16 to package and ship the toys to the recipient. You can sign up for Operation Santa alone, but you can also work as a team with friends or coworkers to spread holiday cheer!
This year, families can also use USPS Ground Advantage to ship Operation Santa gifts, with estimated delivery times of 2-5 business days. The Postal Service also hopes to expand the program next year to include clothes, shoes, books and other items critical to children during the holidays.
“Spreading holiday cheer has never been easier,” said Sheila Holman, USPS Vice President of Marketing. “Our partnership with Toys R Us is just the beginning. This year, we’re excited to offer a curated selection of toys and playthings, and next year, we’ll expand the range to include apparel, shoes, books, and more. Our goal is to make it easier for people Deliver personalized gifts locally and help more families experience the magic of the holidays through USPS Operation Santa Claus.
Operation Santa Claus is also being spotlighted in the new season of Hulu’s Dear Santa series, which launches on November 24th.
