Pixelverse has launched a closed beta for its new browser-based game, introducing $TON microtransactions outside of its traditional Telegram platform for the first time.
This development is part of the Pixelverse strategy to move beyond its initial focus on mini-games within Telegram and aim to provide users with a more immersive and interactive experience.
The closed beta allows early backers to test the game and provide feedback ahead of its planned public release in late 2024.

The new game is set in Neopolis City, a cyberpunk environment where players can explore, complete quests, and collect items.
The game’s mechanics allow player actions to influence the virtual economy, reflecting the web3 integration that Pixelverse is known for. The browser game marks a shift from the Pixelverse’s earlier Telegram-based mini-game PixelTap, which became popular through the use of TON blockchain technology.
Pixelverse has previously had success with its NFT series on the TON blockchain, providing players with a variety of in-game benefits and exclusive content. The transition to browser-based games with integrated microtransactions is intended to connect Telegram’s existing community of approximately 10 million monthly active users to a broader and more sophisticated gaming platform.
“We are leveraging the large user base on Telegram to organically expand beyond the platform,” said Kirill Volgin, CEO of Pixelverse. “In recent months, many Telegram mini-game users have discovered cryptocurrencies through these mini-apps, and now We are ready to provide them with richer and more complex gaming experiences beyond the mobile ecosystem. Our next step is to deepen web3 integration and provide a more immersive experience beyond hyper-casual games.
Currently, a closed beta is available to early backers to preview the game’s features and functionality. The public release, scheduled for Q4 2024, marks an important step for Pixelverse in expanding its offerings and adapting to the evolving web3 gaming landscape.
