Although the first clown It’s a new take on a villain’s origin story that incorporates the anxieties of contemporary society, and the sequel has to stand on its own and potentially offer fans more than just a deeper dive into the corrupt psyche of its central character. Without Batman to partner with, Gaga would have to take on a lot of responsibility and become a foil to the Joker rather than just his love interest or enabler.
