After years of trying to make a Beetlejuice sequel, it’s finally happening Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Tim Burton Returns directly with Michael Keaton Returns as “the most ghost”.
Burton expressed his excitement for the film, but the long-awaited sequel has all but skipped theaters and gone straight to Max.

It was also reported that Burton had clashed with Warner Bros. over cost and distribution issues, as the studio was concerned about spending $147 million on a sequel to a 36-year-old film that the director had not been a hit since. 2010 Disney’s live-action version of “Alice in Wonderland.”
Warner Bros. ultimately agreed to a theatrical release if the budget was under $100 million, and Beetlejuice cost $99 million to make.
