Updated: September 16, 2024, 1:00 a.m. ET This article has been updated with the latest news about Prime Big Deal Days 2024, which has been officially announced to take place in October.
We can hardly believe it either: another golden day is just around the corner. As we’ve seen over the past few years, Amazon is bringing back Prime Big Deal Days, its October sale that’s essentially another Prime Day. It’s just three months away from July’s Prime Day, which brought with it some nice deals, but admittedly, this one didn’t blow us away.
That being said, we’re looking forward to what the new campaign will bring. Amazon just announced that Prime Big Deal Days will take place on October 8th and 9th this year, and during that time we’ll be keeping an eye out for the best deals leading up to the event. Because even if there are no big promotions, there are always on-site deals.
When is Amazon Prime Day?
Back in August, Amazon announced that Prime Big Deal Days would take place in October, and the massive retailer has just confirmed our suspicions that Prime Day 2024 will take place on October 8th and October 9th. The event will continue for a full 48 years.
What kind of deals can you find this year?
If you’re familiar with Prime Day, you know what to expect. The two-day deal covers just about every product you can think of, including headphones, tablets, laptops, robot vacuums, and the list goes on. While these sales sometimes have a lot of junk brands from third parties to avoid, there are also a lot of products from our favorite retailers, including Apple, Beats, Eufy, and more.
Best Apple Deals
why we like it
The price of the iPad 9th generation has dropped to $199, which is the cheapest price we’ve seen on this or any iPad. So while it’s not the latest generation, it’s the most affordable.
This tablet is equipped with an A13 chip, a powerful processor that allows you to stream media, browse the internet, and even play games. Original price is $329, discounted price is $199, 40% off, saving $130. This price has been available for a few weeks, but there’s no guarantee it will last until Prime Big Deals Day.

why we like it
The Amazon Echo Show 8 isn’t just a speaker, it’s a smart home hub. It has a four-inch by eight-inch screen that can display music, recipes, and even video calls via the built-in camera. Plus, if you want to stream your favorite Prime Video content while cooking, the Echo Show can do that on its HD display, too.
Right now, you can get the Amazon Echo Show 8 for 30% off, priced at $104.99. You can save $45 before the Prime Day date is officially announced.

There are a lot of great headphones out there, and we’ve tested many of them. But when you’re looking for something specific, such as a set of headphones for working out, you have to pay attention to the details. Beats Fit Pro is great for workouts and allows you to pause your music or end a call with simple touch controls. Plus, the secure fit keeps them in your ears from the beginning to the end of your workout.
These are great headphones, and Mashable’s Alex Perry even says they’re better than AirPods. You can find them right now for $159, which is cheaper than the AirPods Pro with all the same features. The 20% discount saves you $40.95.

The best TV and streaming deals
why we like it
Is the Amazon Fire Stick 4K the best streamer we’ve ever tested? No, Roku took the cake. However, it still works pretty well, not to mention, it’s hard to pass up its delightful $30 price tag ahead of Prime Day. After testing the Amazon Fire Stick TV, setting it up is as simple as plugging it into the HDMI port on the back of the TV.
While the home screen is a bit clunky and slow, filled with ads and promotions for Prime Video content, it’s a dream for those who primarily watch streams on the site. Now the price is down to $29.99, saving $20 and getting 40% off.
Best Robot Vacuum Trading
why we like it
Back in July, Mashable’s Leah Stodart wrote about her favorite Prime Day deals on the Eufy X10 Pro Omni robot vacuum . While Roombas are generally the most popular when it comes to robot vacuums, the Eufy is a strong competitor, especially the X10 Pro Omni, which can do double duty as a vacuum cleaner and mop.
Stodart points out that unlike the iRobot Roomba j9+, the X10 Pro Omni can wash and dry the mop pad on its own, ensuring your floors are thoroughly scrubbed and clean. Ahead of Prime Day, the price is down to $679.99, a savings of $120 and a 15% discount.
