Helldivers 2’s much-hyped next patch is due out tomorrow, September 17th, and Arrowhead has reserved something pretty special in the patch notes, which could round out the list of major changes it’s letting us know about ahead of time. Do you know about the 500kg bomb? It sounds like everyone’s longstanding complaints about it have been resolved.
If you need to keep up, we’ve made adjustments to the flamethrower, several different guns, rocket-carrying enemies, and more.

There has been an apparent problem with Eagle 500KG bombs for years, echoing the slogan of a British manufacturer of wood stains, paints and preservatives. It doesn’t do exactly what it says on the tin, and the visual explosion it creates is more impressive than the size of the area it actually causes damage.
But now, as developers Johan Pilestedt and Niklas Malmborg explained in their friendly little chat, Arrowhead has finally resolved the discrepancy, which has been going on for what seems like hours. Marburg concluded: “Now it is as it should be”, and Pileist added that you can be sure “it will blow up a lot of enemies”.

While you’ll have to wait until the patch releases to get the firepower, with both Tash and Mastia being taken away from bots as part of the latest major order, the folks over at Arrow’s Orbital Napalm Barrage Strategy are looking at this as another recent one. A portion of MO receives revenue.
Sadly, this latest mission looks doomed, as one of its other goals is asking players to kill more Terminators, but hey, consider that there are basically four things to do here, two of which is on the wrong side, the other thing is on the wrong side of robots, I would say the power of Super Earth deserves applause.
What do you think of these two bombshells in Hellraiser 2? Let us know below, and be sure to let us know when the patch goes live tomorrow, September 17th!
