Television actor Kushal Tandon has been making headlines ever since entering the reality show Alliance. Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding cheating allegations levelled against him by Lock Upp contestant Shreya Kalra, an unseen clip from the show has surfaced in which the actor speaks candidly about his approach to relationships
Kushal Tandon reflects on his relationships
During a conversation with fellow contestant Payal Gaming, Kushal opened up about how deeply invested he becomes when he is dating someone. Reflecting on his personal life, he said, “If I am shooting, that’s my life, and if I am dating somebody, that’s my world. When I date someone, aisa kabhi hota hi nahi ki I am with friends, koi insecurity hoti hi nahi kabhi other party ko. My world revolves around her.”
The actor further admitted that his demanding work schedule often creates challenges in maintaining a relationship. He shared, “And then ussi se main mahine main 2 baar milta hoon. Ladai ussi pe hoti hai ki milte nahi ho milte nahi ho. Last time (last relationship) main hafte ya 10 din mein ek baar mil paata tha.” Kushal explained that despite prioritising his partner, long shooting schedules leave him with little time, leading to disagreements over not meeting frequently enough
The clip has gained attention as it comes days after Shreya Kalra made serious allegations against the actor on Lock Upp. During an episode of the reality show, Shreya claimed that she and Kushal had worked together on a promotional shoot for Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka. According to her, Kushal later messaged her on social media and allegedly flirted with her, even though she later discovered he was reportedly dating his co-star Shivangi Joshi

Shreya alleged that after learning about Kushal and Shivangi’s relationship, she stopped responding to his messages. She further claimed that when she later met Shivangi on the sets of the show, the actress told her that Kushal had said Shreya was the one who had first followed and messaged him
Recalling the incident, Shreya said, “I said, ‘Excuse me! I wouldn’t be the first person to approach any man. I’ve never done that in my entire life.’ I gave my phone to her. She read my whole chat. I didn’t flirt back and I didn’t say anything. After doing scenes, she used to cry.”
Kushal and Shivangi, who starred together in Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka, sparked dating rumours during the show’s run. In June 2025, Kushal appeared to confirm their breakup through an Instagram Story, stating that they were no longer together, before deleting the post. As of now, Kushal has not publicly responded to Shreya Kalra’s allegations
