Shamrock Capital becomes a new investor in Nth Degree, replacing Atlanta-based private equity firm MSouth Equity Partners.
MSouth invested in the company in 2019.
“We’ve become one of the largest holdings of Southern University. There comes a point where they can’t allocate more capital to you. “So you have to move to the next category so you can continue to buy competitors and Build. When you think of private equity groups, Clover is in the largest category.
“Joining forces with Shamrock further enables our customer-focused team to build on existing momentum to expand our business, expand our product offerings and continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in the events industry,” said Hense.
“Acquiring some of our best competitors to provide additional services is a key part of our strategy and we will continue on this path,” Hense said. “Our future acquisitions will be centered around service expansion and service depth.”
The new capital will enable Nth Degree to acquire more companies. It’s no stranger to acquisitions, having acquired five companies since 2018: Zenith LaborNet, Renaissance, Absolute I&D, Fern and Upland.
Its first acquisition with newly formed private equity firm Shamrock will focus on technology. Then focus on its overall service capabilities. “This will include training of field personnel, as well as additional recruitment to attract talent into the industry,” Hans said.
Nth Degree will continue to operate under its current leadership team and structure, including Nth Degree Events and its integrated event services group, Fern Exposition Services.
Currently, Nth Degreeās core internal team consists of 600 people. There are also 600 to 1,500 aircraft flying through the exhibition grounds every day.
