Venom: The Last Dance’s second trailer has bittersweet vibes and surprising Knull appearance

The highlight of the first Venom: The Last Dance trailer was the symbiote taking over a horse, which… wasn’t exactly a high praise. However, in the just-released second preview, things look a lot more interesting, and the stakes are surprisingly high.

We already know that the third Venom movie is supposed to be the “end” for Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and the chatty Venom symbiote, unless some very half-assed crossover event movie takes place between Morbius, Krause On Levin et al. The first trailer also introduces Chiwetel Ejiofor as a military type and Juno Temple as a scientist, both trying to hunt down and understand the symbiote when a major invasion strikes Earth. body. Now, the plot gets a little more complicated.

One of the major complaints about the two Venom movies released so far, despite lackluster reviews and stellar box office success, is that they lack a compelling enough villain or threat to be more than just another symbiote wearing a different color body person. Sure, Carnage is the comic book villain, but he’s wasted alongside Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kasady. Now, in its final stretch, the creatives and producers behind the saga are upping the ante by including Knull, the creator and creator of all hungry symbiotes.

Considering what we know about the movie’s overall plot and expected running time (these are always shorter), it’s likely that Knull won’t be doing much other than popping up in flashbacks and plotting in the shadows, but maybe Venom 3 》There is a trump card. Regardless, this is the kind of confusing, last-minute move we’ve come to expect from Sony-produced Marvel movies at the moment. You can check out the trailer for yourself below:

In addition to Knull’s surprise appearance, the second trailer also promises an emotional goodbye between Eddie and Venom, which honestly sounds like the most intriguing aspect of the entire movie, as the filmmakers A refreshingly honest relationship lead between these two men is cracked (almost by mistake). In fact, Venom 2 frequently veers into bromance territory. Otherwise, it all looks as conceptually dated as the first two movies… but might be enough to convince casual moviegoers again.

Meanwhile, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios appear to be moving as quickly as possible on the next Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland, with Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton now set to direct. Rumor has it that the chunk of the Venom symbiote left behind in Earth-616 during the No Way Home post-credits scene will affect the plot, so even if Sony shuts down Solo, we won’t be seeing it on the big screen to the symbiote.
