Update: Sony released an unreleased trailer for tomorrow’s event, but appears to have accidentally titled the video “PS5 Pro” and then changed it to “PlayStation 5 Tech Demo – September 10”
Original story: It looks like Sony is finally unveiling its public secret: the PS5 Pro.
According to the company, they will host a special “tech demo” on Tuesday, September 10th, hosted by Chief Systems Architect Mark Cerny.
The broadcast will begin at 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST and will “focus on innovation in PS5 and gaming technology”.
While I think the event, which is scheduled to be around nine minutes long, could be about something else, all evidence seems to point to this being the official reveal of the PS5 Pro we’ve known since… well, what feels like forever. The appearance of Mark Cerny also shows the charm of the new machine.
An illustration based on the packaging of the PS5 Pro surfaced not too long ago, and we’ve already had plenty of leaks about what technology the new console will feature.
Many insiders have also said they’ve heard the PS5 Pro will be released in September, with other reports suggesting a November release is planned.
Now all that’s left is the price tag. Want to try guessing the MSRP?
