One of the most customizable items in Minecraft are banners, which can be recolored and patterned to your liking. Banners are also used in several different recipes, so it will be useful to know how to make them as you progress. To learn how to make a banner in Minecraft, check out the guide below.
Making a banner in Minecraft
There are only two main ingredients you need to make a banner, but depending on the color you want to make your banner, you’ll need different ingredients. You’ll also need a variety of one ingredient, so you probably won’t make too many banners at once. You can see the complete creation of the banner below:
- On the workbench, place the six colored wool blocks on the top two rows.
- Then, place a stick in the bottom middle box to create a banner related to any color wool you have placed on the table.
Obviously, the biggest obstacle to making banners in Minecraft is getting the required number of wool blocks. To make things easier, though, you can get six pieces of plain wool obtained from killing sheep and dye them to any color you want. We covered how to make dye in a previous guide, but you’ll need some specific materials that match the color of any dye you want to make. With dyes in hand, you can access the workbench, dye wool blocks, and use the wool blocks to create colorful banners.
If you want to make the banner a solid white banner to add a different color, you can use bleach on the banner on your workbench. This will also remove any graphics you may have placed on the banner. However, this is only available in Bedrock Edition.
