Sony is stepping up to celebrate the upcoming 30th anniversary of the PlayStation brand. New images released by the company appear to include a console icon that looks a lot like the alleged leak PS5 Pro design. Um…
The original PlayStation console launched in Japan in December 1994, so technically the 30th anniversary is still a few months away. But Sony didn’t wait until December to celebrate 3-O’s birthday. On September 5, the company released some announcements and plans Kick off the anniversary celebration. But the most interesting news isn’t in the blog posts. Instead, eagle-eyed fans spotted what appears to be a new PlayStation console on a 30th anniversary banner.
Take a look below. The picture on the left is from a blog post and the picture on the right is from Instagram.

Both images include a PS5 console with three lines on it. This fits perfectly with reports from last month about an as-yet-unconfirmed PS5 Pro, which claim The console will have three black lines on the front, and Sony plans to officially announce this powerful new product “in the coming weeks.”

So is this banner image, Sony’s first confirmation of the PS5 Pro, jokingly teasing its most die-hard fans? This is what it looks like on Instagram, sony puts up banner Include an Easter egg and add “Your First Lookđź‘€” as a caption. This could also be a really big mistake, although considering how many people had to view and approve these images, and the fact that they’ve been up for hours, I’m leaning towards this being a teaser rather than a screw-up .
Now we just have to wait for Sony to officially unveil the PS5 Pro, which is rumored to launch later this year.
