Football Manager 25 has been delayed for a few weeks and will not include some expected features. Studio manager Miles Jacobson announced that the game would be released in late November instead of early January. The exact release date will be confirmed later in September.
As for the editing function, international management mode will not play in FM25, FM25 Console or FM25 Touch. Jacobson mentioned the difficulties of moving the series to Unity, claiming that the mode was unable to meet the studio’s “initial quality threshold.” The team also looked at in-game data. According to reports, only 5.6% of FM24 PC saves play International Management. Jacobson said the data “confirms our view that we need to do better and better in terms of experience.” The feature will return in FM26 and remain in FM25 Mobile, as that version is in a different development tracks and use different code libraries.
Another removed feature is minor: player weight will no longer be visible. As Football Manager introduces women’s leagues, developers have discovered that women’s weight fluctuates more frequently than men’s. The game will still contain basic measurements for simulation purposes, but the player won’t be able to see it.
This is the second time that Football Manager 25 has announced feature cuts. These modes will also return in FM26.
