Some people on social media have been questioning recently why so few people are talking about Uncanny X-Men. Featuring art Carmen Canero and words from beloved authors. Eve L. Ewing, Promotions for flagship games have been surprisingly quiet over the past few months, especially one so high-profile as to feature the first black woman to write a flagship X-Title. Suffice to say, those fears have been alleviated, as Marvel Comics has just released a brand new trailer for the exciting debut.
On what makes this book “different,” Ewing said:
“Well, those who know that I was a poet long before I was a comic book creator will appreciate that Outstanding X-Men, in a world full of X-adjectives, sounds really great. But now, What’s special about them is that they have a different history on their shoulders than the protagonists in our other games, and for better or worse, they have no connection to Krakoa or the wider team’s politics or the previous era of mutants. They’re just Midwestern. A bunch of awkward kids trying to figure out what they’re capable of, just like generations of young mutants before them.
To this, artist Carmen Canero added:
“About the young mutants, I think the whole team fell in love with the three of them. I loved that they were so opposite. Eve had a very clear personality, hobbies, musical tastes, feelings… Everything just kind of evolved naturally when designing them. , the entire team had a clear vision for how they would ultimately look, and I can’t wait for readers to see them.
EXCEPTIONAL X-MEN #1 is now available in stores and is the third flagship game in the series from ashes emission. In the trailer, fan-favorites Kitty Pryde and Emma Frost teach the New Mutants how to survive in a world that resents them after Krakoa.
