Massive Entertainment decided to take a stance on the debate over who shot first, Han or Greedo, in Star Wars: Outlaws , but they were quickly proven wrong.
Almost every Star Wars fan has a different opinion on whether Han or Greedo fired first in A New Hope. It’s an age-old debate that if you like telling a good story, there’s a right answer, and although creator George Lucas has always been a fan of retconning and tinkering, he’s certainly got it right , to see Greedo shot first in subsequent versions of the film. In the original, before Lucas made the completely unnecessary change, Han Solo shot first, which was important because he hadn’t become a hero yet and allowed him to continue his character arc (storytelling, a novel concept). But Massive Entertainment decided to adopt the technical standards of Star Wars: Desperados, with Greedo shooting first.

In the latest Star Wars game, you can actually visit the Mos Eisley Cantina, because of course you can, and as one fan on the game’s subreddit discovered, if you head to Han and Greedo’s famous In the interactive booth, you can see an explosion mark on the side where Han is sitting. This obviously means Greedo shoots first, as he’s bound to miss so Han can fight him off. This is wrong! Since the above is wrong, I won’t listen to any other point of view, because when have Star Wars fans ever changed their minds about anything?

Most importantly, though, this is just a fun little Easter egg for fans to discover while flying from planet to planet, and ultimately doesn’t matter in the greater scheme of things. Also, the game may be wrong, but it’s still pretty good, as our own Jim gave the game 4/5 stars in his review.
