Cody Rhodes is arguably the top guy in the company and he continues to perform at a high level. Since defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 to win the WWE Championship, the biggest prize in wrestling, Roode has found himself becoming a mainstay in the wrestling world.
The American Nightmare has been battling members of the Bloodline throughout the summer, a faction he has been fighting for over a year. At SummerSlam, Rhodes defeated the team with his former rival, Roman Reigns coming out to help the AEW founding member, spearing and superman punching his own cousin Zoro Siko Solo Sikoa.
With bloodline support for the time being, Rhodes needed another opponent. This challenge comes in the form of Kevin Owens at the Berlin Bash. This fierce competition made the audience excited. After the last “Cross Rhodes” finisher, Rhodes successfully defended the WWE Championship and now awaits his next challenger.
There are signs that the bloodline isn’t over for him just yet.
