Too fast! Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of September 2 promise that someone who left a month ago will be back.
This isn’t a recast either, there’s a good reason for this return.
Still, Days of Our Lives needs to close its revolving door, especially if people are saying their emotional goodbyes weeks before it returns to our screens.
Why Eric Brady is returning to Salem
He came here to support his family
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 2/9/24 show Eric returning to Salem to support Brady and meet Marlena.
There’s no word yet on what happened to Nicole, so hopefully the show doesn’t have Eric and Nicole break up off-screen just weeks after Ali Zucker’s lawsuit.
Eric’s visit may be brief, but it may lead to some unintentional chaos.
Brady is in a similar situation to Eric’s after he drank and drove, causing Daniel’s death.
EJ attempts to blackmail Nicole, threatening to tell Holly that her beloved stepfather killed her father before she was born.
So, mathematically speaking, Holly overheard Eric talking to Brady about it, especially since Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal for the week of 9/24 that when Holly learns She is devastated when a secret has been hidden from her.
Of course, this could be misleading, as Tate was supposed to have “screwed up” the day before, meaning Sophia could be causing trouble.
Still, there’s a good chance Eric will unintentionally break his stepdaughter’s heart, and that’s far from the only Days of Our Lives spoilers promising for the week of September 2.
Plenty of body and soul drama to come
This stupid storyline is far from over
Days of Our Lives ‘ meta storyline fell out of favor a while ago, but unfortunately, it’s here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future.
Sadly, Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 2/9/24 foreshadow some developments in the story, with Heidi sending a warning to Bonnie, Johnny and Chanel to Alex auditioning to play Chanel’s lover Feeling dissatisfied, Paulina fights with Abe.
Paulina and Abe spoilers may not be relevant to Body and Soul. Paulina has been stressed out about her mayoral approval rating since Raff’s attack, so she could explode over anything.
Still, she might be upset that her daughter is auditioning for Body & Soul, or that Abe is spending too much time on this silly project instead of focusing on her during their time together, So she might feel dissatisfied.
Fake Abigail versus Stefan
She was upset to learn that he D.I.D. raped a woman
I don’t know what to make of fake Abigail’s anger at what Stefan did to the real Abigail.
Days of Our Lives has a lot of work to do to clean up its reputation when it comes to information about sexual assault.
The once-groundbreaking soap often blamed victims for attacks or judged them as if their encounters were consensual.
Admitting that Stefan did rape Abigail is a step in the right direction.
However, it’s unclear whether fake Abigail is as outraged as she would like her cover story to be believed.
This undermines the message that taking advantage of someone with severe mental health issues is actually rape.
Chad asks Stephanie for help
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 2/9/24 say he hopes she handles Abigail’s situation
This weird situation only happens in Salem, but did anyone not see this coming?
Stephanie broke up with Chad because he couldn’t get over his wife’s death and couldn’t propose to him, and now her new boyfriend was dead.
She should know better what Chad is going through, so it’s only a matter of time before these two get back together.
If I were Stephanie, though, I wouldn’t move on in love.
Not only did Everett die way too soon, but Chad turned to her for advice on how to jog his amnesiac wife’s memory since she was supposedly still alive.
Gabi confesses to Stefan
She told him she slept with EJ
Although Days of Our Lives spoilers call the week of 2/9/24 a “confession,” let’s be honest: This is Gabi’s plan.
She wanted to sleep with someone else, making Stefan feel betrayed, and rolling in the hay with EJ would hurt him more than with other men.
The only disappointment was that EJ agreed so easily. He should be smarter than that.
However, Stefan may be angry that EJ “stole” his wife, just like Gabi didn’t choose to do that either. ah.
Hopefully this doesn’t turn into a sibling rivalry for Gabby’s heart. It’s a tired TV trope that DAYS has used too many times lately.
Leo quits The Spectator
He’s trading in his gossip credentials for a screenwriting job
While it makes sense for Leo to move on, this is one of the most disappointing Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 9/2/24.
Leo isn’t my favorite character, but someone needs to work on The Spectator.
Everett is dead, Jack is back in Boston, and Chad is running around trying to figure out how to get the fake Abigail to remember their life together.
Leo’s departure from The Spectator means the newspaper’s TV work storyline is over, which is a shame.
Also, the characters will still learn things by reading news online, so now that everyone is gone, who will write it?
Eric returns to Salem
He’s here to help Brady with his problems
Eric is the perfect person to try to reason with Brady and provide support for Marlena…or he would be if he hadn’t left.
It seemed silly for Eric to fly back and forth from Paris as if it was nothing, but he had a reason to be in town.
Brady is the kind of likable character we can never relate to because he self-destructs in such a stupid way.
He falls forever in love with some unworthy woman and then turns to alcohol or drugs when everything falls apart for her.
Still, he deserves his brother’s support, and Marlena needs her son in town, even if it’s just for a short time.
John tries to reason with Brady
Brady is determined to plead guilty when he’s not sure he’s guilty
It’s understandable why Brady was determined to come clean.
While he doesn’t remember the night of the accident, he has no reason to believe he didn’t hit Sarah.
He had no idea how the audience would feel about Fiona driving his car, and all the evidence he had pointed to him running her over and driving off.
This isn’t the first time Brady has been in this situation, though.
Doesn’t he remember the twisted love triangle with Phillip that ended with Phillip faking his own death and getting Brady drunk and killing him?
Brady doesn’t remember the incident either, but he’s completely innocent.
Now he wants to plead guilty to a crime he didn’t commit, and sadly, John is unlikely to talk him out of it.
Holly has had a devastating week
After Tate falls into trouble, she learns a heartbreaking secret
Holly learning that Eric killed her father was just as intense as JJ Deverox learning what his late father did to Aunt Kayla.
Like Holly, JJ got into drug trouble, although later on the adults tried to stop him and Paige from being together, so that would be an interesting comparison.
Holly doesn’t display as many mental health issues as JJ, although she does have her tantrums, and she wants her mother and Eric to ever get back together.
So if she did learn that no one was willing to tell her that Eric killed her father, there’s no telling how she would react. This could be a powerful storyline if done right.
