Following the recent announcement of warranty extensions for affected Intel Core 13th and 14th generation desktop processors, Intel confirms that these processors are currently available no Affected by Vmin Shift instability issue:
12th Generation Intel Core Desktop and Mobile Processors
Intel Core 13th and 14th Generation i5 (non-K) and i3 desktop processors
Intel Core 13th and 14th generation mobile processors – including HX series processors.
Intel Xeon Processors – Includes server and workstation processors.
Intel Core Ultra (Series 1) Processor
Intel Core 13th and 14th Generation Desktop Processors BIOS Update
While most Intel Core 13th and 14th generation desktop processors are not affected by the Vmin drift instability issue, Intel recommends that all users continue to follow the following guidelines:
Make sure your system is running the latest BIOS, which you can check through Intel’s compatibility tool and/or the motherboard manufacturer’s website. Users can also visit the following site to learn more about how to update the BIOS: How to update the BIOS.
Use Intel’s recommended default settings for Intel Core 13th and/or 14th Generation desktop processors – including Intel Core 13th and 14th Generation consumer, business and entry workstation desktop systems.
