What do you get when you become a Gold member?
A Costco membership lets you shop at more than 600 locations in the United States and more than 800 locations worldwide. You can use your card at Costco’s business centers, travel agencies, gas stations, hearing aid centers, optical stores, pharmacies, and of course, Costco’s website.
However, the real magic happens in the warehouse, where you can find anything you want. Laundry detergent? knew. roast chicken? Oh yes. 80-inch 4K OLED TV? You bet. Seven-person hot spring? Yes. After a long day of shopping, you can treat yourself to a hot dog for a dollar — a price point that the founder of Costco told a CEO who wanted to raise prices, “If you keep Damn hot dog, I will kill you.
Membership can be shared with anyone in your household. Your child just got his driver’s license and wants to drive? Cool! Let them do things. Maybe you can entice them with free samples.
As someone who moved away from home many years ago, I finally bit the bullet and got my own Costco membership. I honestly don’t know how I lived without one. Once you sign up, your $20 Costco Card will be emailed directly through Costco within two weeks of successful redemption. Digital points are not one-time use, so you don’t have to spend the $20 all at once. Good luck though. Not because Costco items are expensive, but because there are so many good items that it’s hard to stay in double digits every time you go.
Please note that this offer is only available to customers in the United States and Puerto Rico and is only valid for new members or those whose membership has expired for more than 18 months.
