The Walking Dead Star Danai Gurira It has been revealed that she and the team behind the hit zombie series have been discussing adapting the series into a musical. While it could be a joke, she thinks it’s possible.
In an interview with SFX Magazine, she said: “I was just joking about doing a Walking Dead musical on Broadway. Me and [Scott] It’s ridiculous that Gimple is actually talking about this.
“He just said we didn’t have rights,” she explained. “I thought, ‘Okay, let’s talk about it. [Robert] Kirkman, look what he had to say about it. I mean, we were basically just joking.
“But weirder things have happened, and I do love drama…it’s about, how do you limit it to one thing? Because that’s just so much story. So actually, how do you limit it to one thing? Two or three hours of great action?
With so many productions being adapted into Broadway musicals these days, I wouldn’t be surprised to see The Walking Dead musical one day come to life on Broadway, dancing zombies and all!
