Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 made a surprise appearance on the opening night of Gamescom, with Raven Software’s Katherine Anderson and Jon Zuck taking the stage to show off a new trailer.
The trailer gives us a closer look at what players can expect from the game’s campaign, with Anderson saying we can expect “heavy action in which players question everything and trust no one,” which sounds like open-ended combat, Or it could be open world – there could be quests.
Playing as the Pantheon, the trailer shows that there’s also an impressive homing knife, which is expected to be revealed at the end of the trailer, along with shock absorbers and utility wheels. More importantly, “Black Ops 6” will be in open beta from September 6th to 9th.

“Black Ops 6” was first unveiled at the Xbox Showcase at the Summer Game Festival earlier this year, and a release date of October 26 was announced at the same time. Since then, we’ve been slowly trickling out a ton of additional information from official channels, including a full look at Zombies mode this month.
Black Ops 6 will also be released on Game Pass, which is great news for those who subscribe to the service. All in all, we’re in the hype phase of Black Ops 6’s pre-release era – and all I want to do at this point is play the damn thing!
