Where to get legendary parts
There are only three ways to obtain legendary parts, the most common being as quest rewards for end-game merchant quests. They are challenging and often require a small group of people and a large amount of ammunition and aid items to complete the mission. Here are some examples of how to get them:
- If your game’s loot stage is higher than 15, it’s in a loot container.
- Rarely used as a quest reward for level 5 merchant quests
- Guaranteed as a quest reward for level 6 merchant quests
- Can sometimes be purchased from merchants
Of course, level 6 merchant missions are some of the most challenging and time-consuming in the game, which is why they pay so well. These usually involve clearing out hordes of zombies in important locations such as prisons.
Why you need legendary parts
While the late-game merchant missions present challenges, the Legendary Parts are still worth your time and effort. They allow you to craft quality 6 weapons, armor, and gathering tools. Quality 6 is the legendary level, designed for levels 51 to 60, allowing three unique mod slots per item.
At the highest quality level, the following effects occur:
- Maximum durability
- More available mod slots
- Melee damage, block damage, stamina drain, and attacks per minute increased
- Ranged damage, magazine size, bullets per minute and effective range increased
- Armor class and blast resistance increased
That said, there’s no guarantee that a quality 6 item you receive will have better stats than a quality 5 or 4 item.
