Segura said:
I have a thing for two things – writing the pulp heroes I read as a kid, and working with my friends, so when Dynamite approached me to take on the series, I knew immediately who I wanted to partner with.
Henry and I had been brainstorming Green Hornet ideas for a while, and this felt like the perfect springboard to not only highlight this iconic hero, but also pit him against one of the true classic heroines of comics, Miss Fury .
It’s such a treat to flesh out her backstory and watch these two icons play off each other – these characters pretty much write themselves. Coupled with the detailed cinematic art that Federico brings to every page, the end result is sure to be a treat for long-time fans of The Green Hornet and Lady Fury or those looking for a fun Bronze Age style romp Interesting journey.
This is not about reimagining; Green Hornet/Miss Fury The story takes place in the mid-1960s! Harness the glamor of Bumblebee’s TV era and add a neo-noir twist. Both characters can travel back to multiple eras in the 1930s and 1940s for adventures. The Green Hornet has a rich history in radio, film, television and comics, with a nearly 15-year history in the franchise, created by Dynamite and Miss Fury. Joan Tapmillsknown for being the first female superhero created by a woman.
Barajas added:
The Green Hornet and Miss Fury are two of the most iconic paper capes of all time. Growing up, I constantly read early stories from Harvey Comics, listened to the radio show, and watched the 1966 TV show starring Bruce Lee as Kato.
It’s certainly a love letter to the golden age of comics, while also stinging fans and leaving them asking for more.
