Here’s the trailer for the upcoming boxing drama movie day of battlewhich star Lampman, Michael Pitt, Joe Pesciand Steve Buscemi. This really looks like an incredible movie! I was very moved by this trailer.
In the film, “In his first fight after being released from prison, once-famous boxer Mickey (Pitt) embarks on a journey of redemption through the past and present, putting his life on the line due to a health condition that only he knows about. Lives are put at risk.
“Over the course of the day, Mickey visits influential figures in his life who encourage him to overcome his rocky past. After years of fighting at Madison Square Garden, a series of events reveal that this day has never been more special for Mickey. Neither is a real boxing match.
The film has been described as “an underdog story built on introspection, self-sacrifice and forgiveness that asks the question: How far are we willing to go for the ones we love?”
The film was written and directed by Jack Huston, who said of the film: “I’m extremely grateful to be bringing ‘Fighting Day’ to theaters this fall.
“My goal is to have an honest and relevant discussion about the complexities of life and ask the eternal question – how far are we willing to go for the ones we love.
“I’ve been lucky enough to work with the most incredible actors who bring these characters to life with such passion and are anchored by Michael C. Pitt’s heartbreakingly brilliant performance. The foundation was laid and the crew showed hard work and tenacity in every frame.
He added: “I loved every second of making this film and I’m so excited to share it.”
This looks like a great movie to watch and will be released on November 15, 2024.
