Exotic Armor
Essentialism/Solipsism/Stoicism (Strange Project)
Exotic items have always been difficult to get into Destiny 2 outside of the guaranteed drops of the Dual Destiny quest (which required two Guardians to complete), and a recent patch has made the drop rates for these popular exotics It gets even worse in Destiny 2. Luckily, you can get this exotic roll randomly, and there’s no limit to how many you can buy.
The only gain? Xur will only sell these to you once you’ve completed Duality, as simply unlocking the quest isn’t enough. Xur won’t have exotic items every week, so you’ll need to farm the odd coin in order to have enough money to buy multiple rolls.
Insect Shell Crown (Exotic Hunter Helmet)
Wormshell Crown is very effective at key moments in PvP matches, as dodging provides a slight health and shield boost, and with the right build in PvE, it can be devastating if used wisely. The stats for this roll aren’t the best, while Strength is pretty good, Intelligence, Discipline, and Recovery are pretty low. You can skip this unless you have a rare version with worse stats than this.
- Liquidity: 15
- Toughness: 9
- Recovery: 8
- Discipline: 6
- Intelligence: 6
- Strength: 28
- Total: 62
Doomfang Spaulders (Strange Titan Gauntlets)
This stylish exotic is designed for Titans who like to focus on their void abilities. Defeating a target with void damage has a chance to gain an escalating bonus to the damage dealt by the void weapon, so you can pair it with Wavesplitter Xur to unleash some deadly power. It also has some perks related to void melee and super abilities, so this is a great exotic for titan void specialists. The stats on this roll are pretty weird, but if you want to focus further on charging up your super with high intelligence stats, then it might work well. Recovery is also good, but you’ll need to adjust your discipline and resilience stats.
- Liquidity: 12
- Resilience: 8
- Recovery: 15
- Discipline: 2
- Intelligence: 24
- Strength: 7
- Total: 68
Claws of Ahamkara (Exotic Warlock Gauntlets)
Just how useful the extra melee charge is is up for debate, but the nice thing about Claws of Ahamkara is that when you make your final charge melee attack against an enemy, you can generate a ball of energy. This should work well with the Chain or Prismatic types – the Arcane Needle itself has three charges – and the right build will make you radiant when picking up these orbs. While the mobility is a bit too high and the intelligence is quite low, the rest of the stats are balanced so this is worth grabbing.
- Liquidity: 10
- Resilience: 12
- Recovery: 12
- Discipline: 14
- Intelligence: 6
- Strength: 11
- Total: 65

Xur changes the way he does business in The Final Shape. For his rotating selection of Exotic Weapon Catalysts, he sells two per week. His selection will consist of older Catalysts found through random drops prior to the Witch Queen expansion, and he will not own quests, exotic quests, season pass exotics, campaign exotics, pre-order exotics, raid exotics Or dungeon exotic related catalysts.
In addition to the Hawkmoon, Xur will also sell three random exotic weapons. Xur will still sell legendary armor and weapons, as well as engrams that can randomly spawn any item in those pools. Like other vendors, Xur now has its own reputation track, and the more you spend, the more reputation rewards you get, including exotic codes after each rank reset.
Additionally, Xur’s loyalty program activates after you spend 47 Strange Coins, giving you Strange Favor buffs. It is valid for 11 days and can be stacked up to 3 times (once per week), giving you the opportunity to earn extra Strange Coins from activities that reward currency. Xur will appear in Destiny 2 every weekend, with a daily reset starting every Friday at 10am PT/1pm ET.
