Alien: Romulus director Fede Alvarez Highly rated James Cameron and his help in the making of this wonderful science fiction film.
Cameron is currently working on Avatar: Fire and Asheswho recently clarified his involvement in the film, also explained why he won’t be returning alien franchise to make another alien Movie.
The filmmaker downplayed widely reported ties to Alien: Romulustold The Guardian: “I didn’t really help. I knew Feder, the director, and very early on he and his writing partner came to me and said, ‘Any ideas?’
“No, they had a lot of ideas, but they just wanted to go on a pilgrimage to Mecca or something like that, I don’t know. But that was a few years ago, and then they went off and wrote their stuff, and I was with It has nothing to do with it.
He added: “About six months ago he shared an early cut of the film with me and I gave him some notes for about an hour. I didn’t want to take any credit.
“If the movie is great, I don’t want to take any credit; if it’s terrible, it’s not my fault! Seriously, it’s his thing, so credit should be given back, and from what I’ve heard, it was pretty good.
As for why he has no plans to return to the team, Cameron explained: “It’s a little bit downtrodden at the moment. I’m not going to rule anything out, but I’ve got 23 other projects lined up before that hypothetical project, so I guess, as I turn 70, you have to pick your battles at some point, you know what I mean?
Now, Cameron appears to be dedicating the rest of his filmmaking career to Avatar and a few other side projects, such as a new Terminator movie.
Cameron’s exit from the Alien franchise is understandable, but I’d definitely be interested to see what new stories he would tell if he came back. alien What an epic sci-fi action movie!
