Six months after the premiere, the future of “Crime” has been decided: the crime thriller will officially return for a second season on Apple TV+.
Series star Cush Jumbo hinted at the renewal during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen back in February. When asked if a second season was in the works, Jumbo responded, “Yes, there will be.” However, an Apple representative told TVLine at the time that Criminal Records had not been officially updated.
Criminal Record stars Cush Jumbo (The Good Fight) and Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who) as two brilliant detectives – one a young woman at the beginning of her career, the other He is a well-connected man who wants to protect his reputation. In season one, they find themselves at loggerheads over a decades-old murder case that resurfaces due to an anonymous tip. Season 1 also stars Aisha Cara, Sean Dooley, Tom Mutch, Charlie Creed-Miles, Dionne Brown, Zoe Wanamaker, Casey Tay Sen and Stephen Campbell Moore.
