Stephen Colbert wrapped up his live coverage of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Thursday with a detailed analysis of Kamala Harris’ speech and the reaction to it.
But he also took time to respond to her rival Donald Trump’s angry post about Harris running mate Tim Walz on The Truth Society, with the former president writing that Walz “is a “Assistant coach, not coach” – Colbert had the perfect response.
“Oh my God,” Colbert said. “Of course, he’s an assistant coach, you know what that means? Walz is only qualified to be some kind of…vice President.”
