Kamala Harris is officially on Twitch.
The vice president and Democratic presidential candidate now has his own streaming channel on the platform as his campaign shifts to appeal to more young voters.
The account, which goes by the handle kamalaharris, live-streamed Harris’ speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago on Thursday night, of which the campaign has released selected clips. As of this writing, Harris currently has 6,600 followers; her opponent, Donald Trump, has 174,000 followers.

The Joe Biden and Trump campaigns joined Twitch in 2020. Banned in 2021. Other major tech platforms, including Instagram, Facebook and X/Twitter, have also lifted their bans on Trump.
“We have restored former President Trump’s Twitch channel,” a Twitch spokesperson said via The Verge in July. “We believe there is value in hearing directly from the president’s nominee, if possible. Trump is now the official Republican nominee for president of the United States.”

Harris’ move on Twitch comes a month after the vice president officially joined TikTok. According to Wired, the Harris-Walz campaign has 175 employees dedicated to digital strategy, including content creation and online advertising, as well as its latest expansion into platforms such as Twitch. The Democratic National Committee also engaged influencers at this year’s DNC, which invited more than 200 content creators to join journalists in covering the event – the first time influencers were invited to do so.

During the bipartisan push to ban TikTok in the United States, Harris had 4.6 million fans on TikTok; Trump had 10.5 million. Joe Biden’s official campaign TikTok account @bidenhq, which he created in February, has been renamed @harrishq, which is Harris’ official campaign account with 3.8 million followers and contains new videos and previous posts from Biden. According to Wired, the account’s number of followers “quintupled” the week Harris became the Democratic presidential candidate, and content posted received 232 million views and 33 million likes.
On X (formerly Twitter), Trump has 89.9 million followers; Harris has 20.8 million; Biden has 38.5 million.
On Instagram, Harris has 17.7 million followers; Trump has 26.3 million; Biden has 17.3 million.
On YouTube, Trump has 3.1 million subscribers; Harris has 431K; Biden has 896,000, but the White House account has 2.1 million.
