Blizzard brought these products to this year’s Gamescom. Not only did Diablo 4 fans get a new trailer for the upcoming Ship of Hate expansion (with a focus on Mercenaries), we also got a look at more of the new Nahantu region and a look at what we can expect once we get it Much to look forward to.
But the developers have more surprises in store for us, many of which affect all players, not just those planning to buy Ship of Hate.

With the release of Vessel of Hatred in October, the game will receive two major updates. The first one is arguably the most impactful and the one that many players predicted. The leveling experience in Diablo 4 is changing, with the goal of putting more abilities into players’ hands earlier in the process.
Unfortunately, Blizzard hasn’t revealed much about the overhaul of the leveling experience, but the developers will reveal more on August 29th, likely as part of a developer update livestream. Blizzard says that whether the level cap is raised or lowered, the impact will be as broad and impactful as the item overhaul in Season 4: Loot Reborn.
With the release of Hate Containers, another major addition that all Diablo 4 players will be able to benefit from is the new Party Finder feature. This is actually the biggest social update to Diablo 4 since launch, and it really needs some support.
This LFG feature allows you to find other players’ teams, or create your own. Its reach extends across the entire game, meaning you can specify which activities you want to help/join. You can also choose from a range of preferences (casual, hardcore, no mic, etc.).
Party Finder also supports advanced searches if you’re really looking for something specific. When it arrives, you’ll be able to access it directly from the map, in-game menu, or simply by bringing up the emote wheel.
Hateship will be released on October 8th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Free updates that add the features discussed in this article may be released on or around that date.
