Studio Six is currently looking for a director to helm the project, which they expect will have a budget in the $2 million to $3 million range. But for the right talent, the budget can increase. Production is scheduled to begin in the fall.
The original 10 issues that inspired the film were published in October 2008. The series has spawned over 200 issues from various writers and artists, including titles like Alan Moore.
It’s going to be a very low budget production, but I’m curious to see what kind of creative team they’ve assembled for it and how they’ve adapted the story.
