While we continue to wait for season 2 X-Men ’97executive producer Brad Winderbaum are sharing new details and teasing what fans can expect from the next chapter of the story.
According to Winderbaum, Season 2 will include two new X-Teams. He said: “There are a lot of teams in Marvel that have the letter ‘X’ followed by a hyphen. I’ll tell you this… there are two other X teams in season two.”
He didn’t reveal who these X-Teams are, but some of them include X-Factor, X-Force, and Weapon X-Men. It would be cool to see any of these in the series!
Winderbaum also provided an update on the development process for Season 2, saying, “This is still an animation stage. Animation takes a long time, as I’m sure you know.
“There’s a lot about that in Invincible Season 2. They worked really hard to do it, which is the greatest. And it’s going to take a long time. Because the studio wants to see the second season before they greenlight it. How successful a season is, so there is a lag.
“We were lucky enough to get approval before it aired, so there might be less delays. People have to be patient with us.
The third season of “X-Men 97” is also currently in development, and I think as the creative team continues to create good stories, this series will have a long life.
