We recently learned that Disney+ was canceled Star Wars: Acolyte Just one season later. No details were given as to why, but a new report claims that Lucasfilm is currently gearing up to develop a second season.
The report comes from The Hot Mic co-host John Rocha, sources told acolyte There is actually a “soft green light” to proceed.
He went on to say that Lucasfilm “formed a Season 2 writers room with Leslie Headland as early as February and has been quietly asking about the level of interest and availability of a Season 2 director as recently as last month Condition.
If this is true, it would be interesting to see what changed between early development and cancellation.
If the studio was still planning a second season last month, everyone would already have a pretty good idea of how the show was performing and the level of fan backlash.
