This is an unnamed comic publishing startup led by producer Scott Pilgrim Eric Gitte serves as president. Sablik will serve as publisher, rich, EIC and artist Jeremy Haun Completed this adventure as Creative Director. The news was announced today in The Hollywood Reporter .
Jeet isn’t a well-known name to comic book audiences, but he’s been working behind the scenes at his own production company, with credits including the production of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Freeze, and The Rescue ” series (adapted from the graphic novel “The City” by Ender Parks, Joe and Anthony Russo, and Fernando Leon Gonzalez).
According to THR , Gitter’s production team will be folded into the new company, which will publish horror, science fiction, crime and fantasy novels with an eye toward media adaptations.
The company did not disclose funding or announce a specific list, but it hopes to lock in creators by the end of this year or early next year. It aims to start publishing books sometime in 2025.
Ritchie and Sablick have kept news of their new company strictly secret from the press, so the news comes as a bit of a surprise. But this is a time of disruption, and as Sablick told The Hollywood Reporter, “The entire media landscape, including comics, has been reshaped over the past few years, and we’re all excited to be building a company that aims to Comic book publishers that meet the needs of today’s audience, what creators and the market as a whole are thinking about now compared to those of past decades. As we head into 2025, we believe audiences and retailers will be hungry for new stories that will deliver. The next generation of original series brings the seeds and we can’t wait to see them there! ”

Sablik is a publishing industry executive with nearly 25 years of experience in publishing, editorial, marketing, sales, business development and operations. Sablik previously worked at Diamond Comic Distributors and Top Cow, and has been doing very well lately! Served as president of publishing and marketing for the studio for 12 years. Sablik is a core member of the leadership team driving BOOM!’s growth. Most recently, he served as editor-in-chief of IDW Publishing, leading the editorial team through the most critical turnaround period in the company’s 25-year history. His departure comes just after he relaunched the company’s core Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise for its 40th anniversary with a six-figure deal and guided staff on the launch of Patrick Horvath’s original The Tree No One Saw Beneath The Trees Where Who One Seed, achieving critical and commercial success and assembling the first nominated Star Trek comic creative team. In addition, Ritchie developed the hit series Lady Killer with his long-time collaborator Joëlle Jones and has written more than a dozen beloved graphic novels.
