As the fall television premiere season approaches, schedules are increasingly shaped by the upcoming vice presidential debate.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and U.S. Senator JD Vance have accepted an invitation from CBS News to participate in at least one debate this fall on Tuesday, October 1.
In response, some networks are adjusting their schedules. For example, Fox decided to delay the second season premiere of Howard Gordon’s series The Charge by a week, moving it to Tuesday, October 8 at 8/7c. (But after waiting for so long, do you still have to wait a week?)
Meanwhile, the second episode of the new mystery drama Small Town starring Kristen Kreuk, which premieres on September 24, will still air on October 1, but will now air at 8 p.m. , heading into the vice presidential debate.
NBC has now confirmed that the Season 2 premiere of Irrational has been pushed back a week to Tuesday, October 8 at 10 p.m.
